Are you asking President Obama and the Honorable Members of Congress,
“You saved the people from buying a bad car, why not save the people from something far worse, Obamacare? That’s what lemon laws are for, aren’t they?”
How do we grow jobs and business in Whatcom County or anyplace in the United States with this lemon hanging around our necks? The Patient Protection Act was sold to the consumers as affordable and good for jobs and businesses. How did something that sucks 10% of peoples household incomes from them, provides worse coverage and confuses the majority of the consumers now forced to buy-it and like-it, pass through the halls of Congress?
From Wikipedia: “Lemon laws are American state laws that provide a remedy for purchasers of cars and other consumer goods in order to compensate for products that repeatedly fail to meet standards of quality and performance. Although there may be defective products of all sorts ranging from small electrical appliances to huge pieces of machinery, and there is even a “puppy lemon law,” the term “lemon” is generally thought of as applying to defective vehicles such as automobiles, trucks, SUV’s, motorcycles, etc.”
